What the estimate includes
The total equals combined subscription cost per cycle × cycles, plus rental count × average rental price, plus total other charges. Cost per viewing hour divides this total by viewing hours across the entire period. With zero hours, the total still works, but no per-hour value is returned. Enter taxes only once. If the subscription input includes them, leave extra charges at zero.
Worked example
The illustrative defaults give $20 × 2 + 2 × $5 + $3 = $53. Over 20 hours that is $2.65 per hour. These are invented planning inputs, clearly labeled; they are not offers, savings claims, or typical spending. A different checkout amount changes the result.
Limits before you pay
Use whole billing cycles rather than assuming daily prorating. The tool assumes a constant subscription price and average rental cost. It does not model annual plans, expiring promotions, refunds, currency conversion, or automatic renewal. For uneven costs, calculate periods separately. Confirm cancellation and billing terms with the provider or billing partner. A lower cost per hour does not mean you should watch more.
